THE BANK OK NEW SOUTH WALES. ’ (Fromtlie Sydney Morning Herald, Nov. 2.) The half-yearly general meeting of the proprietors took place at the head offices, Goorge-atreet, on Thursday, Mr. Thomas "Walker presiding, when the following report was road and adopted The directors have the pleasure to submit to the proprietors a statement of the assets and liabilltes of the bank on the 30th ultimo, with the auditors’ report : and declaration. . Branches of the bank have been established during p the past half-year at Taralga and Lismore in this colony ; at Port Douglas, in Queensland ; and at Gls- ' borne, in New Zealand, The Mount Perry and ’ Cairns branches in Queensland have, during the same ’ period, been closed. It will be the duty of this meeting to elect two directors in the room of Messrs. Thomas Buckland and Alexander Stuart, who are eligible for re-election. These gentlemen and Mr. William Richman Bidding-* ton, have given the required notice that they arc candidates. Auditors will also have to be elected in the room of Messrs. James Start Harrison and Kobert Campbell Close, who retire at this time, the latter being eligible for rc-elcctlon. The dividend will be payable at the head office tomorrow and at the branches on receipt of advice.
