SPECIAL TKLEGRAMS. London, November 0. The Lord Mayor baa been knighted. Franca and Italy are jointly supporting the Greek demands from Turkey, Colonel Stanley, Secretary for War, and Mr. W. H. Smith, the First Lord of the Admiralty, have left Cyprus for the Suez Canal, and proceed from thence to England. The Czar’s yacht, conveying General Grant and the Duke Serguis of Livadia, to Odessa, foundered. No lives were lost. Many exhibitors at Paris have applied for space at (Sydney. France has appointed a representative to watch over her interests, and will probably despatch exhibits in a war vessel. A committee is forming at Paris to establish a permanent International Exhibition at Sydenham. At a meeting of the London committee of the Australian exhibitions in Melbourne and Sydney it transpired that many exhibitors at Paris have applied for space. The French Government have appointed a special representative. A French war vessel will probably transport the exhibits. (REUTER'S SPECIAL TO PRESS AQENO7.) New Yobk, November 6. The State elections and Congressional elections are both over. They resulted in a great accession of strength to the Republicans in the Northern and Western States. The Democrats were victorious in the Southern States.
