A Gold Cup valued 100 sovs., presented by the club, with 500 sovs. added ; second horse to receive 60 sovs. from the stakes. Two miles. The winner of any handicap race of the value of 200 sovs., after declaration of weights, to carry 7 lbs extra; of two or more such races, 10 lbs; of any handicap race of the value of 100 sovs. to cany 5 lbs extra; of two or more such races, 8 lbs extra. Weights declared on Monday, 18th November, IS7B. Acceptances to be notified, and 5 sovs. paid, before 8 p.m., on Friday, 20th December, 1878; the balance of 7 sovs. to be paid on night of general entry, Monday, 27th January, 1379.
