Monday,. October 28. . (Before T. A. Mausfgrd, Esq., R.M.) . NEW ARRIVALS. . Peter Caulfield, one of the immigrants by the ship City of Auckland, was charged by Mr. Elliott, Under-Secretary, for Immigration, with being drunk and-disorderly, and assaulting A. Owen and John Thompson at Ofcaki. Prom the evidence. it appeared that the prisoner with others, prevented, the passengers from leaving the beach. The coach for their conveyance was brought up on the top of a hill. The prisoner, who'said he was foot-sore, maintained that the coach should come down the hill for them. ,• Prisoner .then with others determined not to walk to. where the coach was, and did their best to prevent others from going. ; Prisoner was fined 205., or in default seven days’imprisonment. CIVIL CASES. Judgment for the plaintiffs for the amounts • claimed and costs was given in the following cases: — E. H. Crease r. J. Mclntosh, claim : £4 12a. fid; Evening Argus y, 11. J. John Mclntosh, Judgment summons; for £23 18s. : 8d.‘; defendant was ordered to pay the amount by the 7th November, or in do* fault eight weeks' imprisonment. ‘
