Messrs. Sanderson, Murray, and Co. of No. 2 Gresham Buildings, report as fallows on 12th September:— Since our report of,thd 29th Au jiist, there has bees a considerable change’in the saleroom. The attendance Is much smaller, prices are certainly weaker all .round, and on scoured wool, more particularly ilioso of medium qualities, the fall i*conThe French buyers continue to operate with great reserve, and middle class greasy wools, for which their competition Is usually so valuable, arc exceedingly slow of sale. The best descriptions, however, of which the supply Is limited, continue to fetch satisfactory rates. Cross breds, of which there is a considerable quantity in the market, are also lower, and notably so io the case of the longer and thicker haired wools. During the earlier part of the sales nearly everything put up was sold, but during the lost week considerable withdrawals have taken place, and It is very evident that unless prices harden before the present series closes a considerable quantity of wool will bo held over in first bands until next sales. Up to date 163.353 have pawed the hammer, of 1 which about 13,00 0 have been withdrawn. Total arrivaU to date for next sales, 20,592 bales.
