IMPERIAL SCHIEDAM SCHNAPPS. WOLFE versus HARTi JUDGE MOLESWORTH, of VICTORIA Has granted an interim injunction onl a tfini', the sale of bottles _ with labels and wrappers similar to the plaintiff’s, which decision has been appealed against, and will be beard by the Full Court in September next. Judge Molesworth has also decided that the trado term “ Aromatic Schiedam Schnapps ” is public property. The popularity and increasing demand for HARTS IMPERIAL SCHIEDAM SCHNAPPS has become so great lhat the proprietor, in order to avoid tb« delay of law, pending his appeal, has arranged to place in the market in a tow days his genuine and highly esteemed “IMPERIAL SCHIEDAM SCHNAPPS” in bottles and labels altogether dissimilar to Wolfe’s, thereby conforming to tho present order of the Court of Victoria, and preventing any imposition on or mistake by the public. HASSALL’S REPORT. The Analytical and Sanitary Institution, 54, Holborn Viaduct, E.C., London, 9lh May, 1877. Report on a Sample of Imperial Schiedam Schnapps received from Mr. H. J. Hart. Wo have subjected a sample of the abovenamed article to a very careful chemical analysis and examination. • The results of the analysis, which are set forth in a separate report, show that this spirit is of good strength, practically free from acidity, and that it contains but traces of solid matter iu solution. It possesses a delicate and agreeable aroma, and a pure and mild taste. Mr. Hart’s Schiedam Schnapps js a very superior article of its class, is well purified, and uite genuine. (Signed), Arthur H. Hart, Esq., Sir,—l have tho honor to report for your information that the sample of Imperial Schiedam Schnapps forwarded by you to mo has been submitted to a searching chemical analysis and critical examination, the result of which enables me to state that it is the finest sample of Schnapps that has as yet come under my notice. It has a pure fragrant odor, and is absolutely free from any trace of fusil oil or other injurious impurity, and has evidently been distilled from superior rye grain, always used instead of malt in the production of tho choicest qualities of Schnapps. It is very smooth to the palate, and iu this respect compares favorably with other samples offered for sale.
