Stella, Wellington, GoAhead, Stormblrd; ships—Kasaia, St. Leonards, and Zedandia; barques—Edwin Bassett, Anne Melhmsh, St. Louis. Malay, and Craigie Lea : brig—Jane. The barque Antaces was signalled as being off the Heads all day yesterday, but owing to the strong northerly wind that was blowing she was unable to reach the harbor. The barque Is from London, which place she left on July 13. She is, comparatively speaking, a new vessel, and comes consigned to Messrs. Levin and Co. She is S;2l tons register, and is commanded by Captain Lewis. The Arawata is due hero to-day from Melbourne via the South. The Manawatu from Wanganui, and Jans Douglas • from Foxton, are both clue here this morning. The schooners Sarah Pile and Aratapu are both busy discharging their cargoes of timber. The steamer Wanaka, for Auckland via the East Coast, left the wharf yesterday afternoon. Theateamer Wakatipu, for the Soujh, left yesterday evening. The steamer Tui, for Kaikoura and Lyttelton, left last night. The sailing of the Stormblrd has been postponed until to-day. The steamer Napier, from Blenheim, arrived here at C o’clock yesterday morning, and experienced a strong northerly breeze across. The schooner Shepherdess, from Pelorus Sound, arrived in harbor late on Tuesday night. The Alhambra, for Melbourne via the Southern ports, sailed yesterday afternoon. The steamer Wellington left Nelson at 11.30 a.m on Tuesday, called at Picton, and arrived at the wharf at daylight yesterday morning. She sails again on her usual trip at midday to-day. Messrs. EUaby and C'allis have completed their contract for the shipment to Wanganui of 1259 tons of railway iron, ex Whittington, from London. The lastshipment went away on Saturday by the schooner Saxon. The contract has been completed two months within the contract time.
