Messes, bethune & hunter have received instructions from Mr. J. F. E. Wright and the Trustees under his marriage settlement, to sell by public auction, at the Exchange Buildings, Wellingtan, On TUESDAY, 29th OCTOBER, AT NOON, All that Valuable Property known as GOATHUE3T FARM. This well-known estate consists of 100 acres, more or less, being Section No. 12, Ohiro. It adjoins the Town Belt and the flourishing suburb of Vogeltown, and is within a few minutes’ walk of the city of Wellington. The land is well grassed, and has substantial boundary and division fences, dwelling-house, and farm buildings. The sale is subject to a certain lease dated the 18th September, 1877 ; information as to which and all other particulars as to the property may be obtaiud from Messrs. Brandon and Son, Messrs. HARRIS BROTHERS have received instructions to sell by public auction, at the Town Hall, Marton, as above, without any reserve, the following sections in the above towns— MARTON. Bloek 18.—Sections 71 and 72, Oxford-street ; sections A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, and K, having frontages to Broadway, Bond, Hair; and Lambert streets. Section G contains a well-finished six-roomed house, in addition to pantry and washhouse, good stable, and outhouse. The house is built •f the best material, and has many fixture conveniences, including a 400-gallon tank. Section H contains a well-finished tworoomed house, with passage and porch, and 400-gallou tank. Section K has a well-finished four-roomed house thereon. • Section 124, corner of Br.iadway and Bond streets, with well - finished six - roomed house thereon. All the above houses are let to good tenants. Section 17, and parts of 15 and 16, Signal-street, are beautifully situate, and planted with shrubs, fruit, and ornamental trees. Note. —lt is unnecessary tor the auctioneers to do more than refer to their last sale as a proof of the demand for property in Marton. It is admitted by all who have visited the town' that it is the finest ou the West Coast, and that its position will make it the Masterton of the eoa t. The increase in trade since the railway opened is marvellous, and though only six months have passed since it was opened, the returns show it to be the third best paying line on this island. Two banks are represented, and tho Colonial Bank have lately purchased with the object, no'doubt, of opening shortly. Tho main road to the Parekaretu and Murimotu via Huntervillo is now being pushed on, and will bring the whole of that valuable tract of country into direct communication with Marton within a short time. HALCOMBE. Sections 537, 587 a, 587 b, 5S7c, 588, 588 a, 58Sb, 588 c, 589, 589 a, 589 b, 589 c, 590,, 590 a, 590 b, 690 c, 501, 501 a, 591 b, 591 c. 00 links of frontage on each side of the railway line is set apart for a road lino, which gives these sections a good frontage. They are also quite close to the station, and splendidly situate. Sections 624, C24a, 624 b, 624 c, 625, 625 a, 625 b, 6260, C2od. These sections are on the main line of [road (two chains wide), which rung through the centre of the town, and would make splendid sites for hotels or stores. Sections 423 and 424 arc well situate in the centre of the business part of the town, and have a frontage of a good metalled street. Note. —The prosperity of Halcomhe is now beyond a doubt. It is surrounded by a large population of small farm settlers. There are three sawmills, and timber is now being shipped to Wanganui, Foxtpn, and intermediate stations in largo quantities. It is also the junction and the only feeding station on the line. Halcomhe presents a first-class field for investment. As will be seen from tho plans, all tho sections offered are in the very heart of tho town. FEILDING. Acre section 832 with well-finished four- ; roomed house and outbuildings. The section is central, has a large frontage to Oamden-street, and is now under cultivation. Half the purchase money may remain on mortgage. PALMERSTON. Section 881, containing one acre and a quarter, iu tho very heart of tho town, with house thereon. I’lans of Marton and Halcomhe may be seen at all tho principal merchants, storekeepers, and hotels in Wellington and Wanganui; also, at tho offices of all the auctioneers. Arrangements have been made whereby conveyances will he made out at a minimum price, and no additional chaige where more than one section is included iu the same conveyance. Tho Auctioneers will be happy to give all information required respecting the sections advertised. Terms very easy. One-third cash ; balance by bills at 6 and 12 months, with 8 per cent, only added.
