The steamer Murray, from Nelson, arrived in harbor early yesterday morning. She left Nelson at :i p.m. on Monday, and returns again to-day. The Jane Dou/las, from Foxton, arrived at 5 o’clock yesterday morning, and made the passage in D hours. Sho returns again to-day. The Stormbird arrived at the wharf yesterday at 7.45 a in., after a passage of 12 boars. She sails again :o-day. The steamer Glenelg was busy yesterday taking on board gear for the purpose of trying to get the ship ilyd ab d off the beach. The ship Orari proceeds to Lyttelton to load for Borne. She has cleared at the Customs, and will leave the first fair wind. The Luna, which left here on Monday evening for Creymouth, will probably make her next trip to Onehnnga instead of here. The steamer Easby, from the South, Is duo hero io-day. Tiio Ladybird, from Picton and Nelson, is due here to-day, and leaves to-morrow for the South. The Tararua la duo hero on Friday from Melbourne via the South, She leaves for Melbourne'via the West Coast. The steamer Hawea left Port Chalmers at 6.45 p.m. on Saturday, called at Akaroa, and arrived at Lyttelton at 2 p.m. on Sunday; sailed again at 3.45 p.m. on Monday, and made our harbor at 8 o’clock yes'erday norning. she sailed again daring the afternoon for Auckland via the East Coast. The schooners Saucy Lass, Star of the Sea, and ''Jollcen Bawn, from Pelorus Sound, arrived yesterday uj rning. Captain Callow, of the Saucy Lass, reports having taken shelter under Mana on Sunday with tho cbooner Maggie Paterson,, from Hokitika for Damaru, Both vessels got away from there on Monlay evening.
