Monday, uctobeii 7. (Before T. A. Mansford, Esq., R.M.) ; ' LARCENY. Selina Smith, a girl fourteen years of age, was brought up on remand, charged with Htealing a set of gold earrings and Bs., the property of Martha Chilton, of the Upper Hutt. The mother of the girl appeared in Court and stated that the accused had been latterly subject to fits. The girl pleaded guilty. She was further charged with stealing from the house of Timothy Toomie, at the Upper Hutt, on© gold pin. His Worship reserved judgment. CIVIL CASKS. Strike, v. Allan; claim for £3O. ' M . Ollivier appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr. Bell for the defendant. After hearing the evidence, his Worship reserved judgment for a week. Myers" v. Nasmilh ; claim £5 15s, for work done.—Mr. Ollivier for plaintiff; Mr. Edwards for defendant. It appeared that the contract had been made out of his Worship’s district, and he decided that he had therefore no juris diction. W, Jameson &Co. v, Goldsmith; claim £lO, for damage sustained by defendant leaving his service without notice. —Mr. Ollivier appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr. Gordon Allan for the defendant. His Worship gave judgment for £1 lo*., being a week’s wages, in lieu of a week’s notice. ■ In the following cases judgments were given in favor of the plaintiffs for the amounts claimed and costs:—Lindsay v.. .Miller; claim £l7 12s. 4d. Brown v, Abel; claim £5 ss. 4d. Smith v. Eitchett; claim £T 2sl Graves and Fleming v. J. Mclntosh; claim £2O 9s 4d.
