The names of the French convicts escaped from Noumea are Thiebault and Lesier. The search for a third convict lost on Whitsuntide Island has been unsuccessful. The Assembly has been dissolved, and the Council prorogued till November 12th. The Agnes, schooner, from Sydney to Townsville, was wrecked on the Capricorn Group; all hands saved. Adelaide, Wednesday. Mr. Rees has resigned the portfolio of Education, The proposed motion of want of confidence consequently has not been proceeded with.
