Mills. • It is the intention of the present Government to commence railway works at Carlyle, andmeet works commenced at the Wanganui and Waitara ends of the line. The town is firmly established; the population at the last census being about 800. Buildings of a very superior class KaV,e been erected, and a number of others are in course of construction.
