Business Notices. TO THE PUBLIC Since the introduction of UDOLPHO WOLFE'S SCHNAPPS ~it has' become, through its wonderful medicinal merits, the most largely consumed spirit in this market, ' and it therefore is not surprising that it has been IMITATED AND COUNTERFEITED. Purchasers should use the greatest caution or they will have a SPURIOUS AND CHEAPER Article palmed off on them as the GENUINE SCHNAPPS. Some unprincipled people are retailing a compound of their own manufacture which they sell under the name of “WOLFE’S” SCHNAPPS. We therefore strongly advise purchasers to protect themselves, and buy only ORIGINAL UNOPENED BOTTLES OR CASES, And thus secure the full advantages of this EXTRAORDINARY MEDICAL BEVERAGE. ? Every genuine bottle bears a label with oar name thereon, M. MOSS & CO., Sole Wholesale Agents for Australia and New Zealand, Sydney. DR. HASSALL’S REPORT. The Analytical and Sanitary Institution, 54, Holbom Viaduct, E. 0., London, 9th May, 1877. Report on a Sample of Imperial Schiedam Schnapps received from Mr. H. J. Hart. We have subjected a sample of the abovenamed article to a very careful chemical analysis and examination. The results of the analysis, which are set forth in a separate report, show that this spirit is of good strength, practically free from acidity, and that it contains but traces of solid matter in solution. It possesses a delicate and agreeable aroma, and a pure and mild taste. Mr. Hart’s Schiedam Schnapps is a very superior article of its class, is well purified, and quite genuine. (Signed) Arthur H. Hassam, M.D., Author of “ Food and its Adulteration.” Otto Hehmer, F. 0.5.,, Public Analyst. WM. JOHNSON’S REPORT.; Government Analytical Laboratory,' Melbourne, 23rd July, 1877. Henri J. Hart, Esq., Sir, —I have the honor to report for your information that the sample of Imperial Schiedam Schnapps forwarded by you to ine has been submitted to a searching chemical analysis and critical examination, the result of which enables me to state that it is the finest sample of Schnapps that has as yet come under my notice. It has a pure fragrant odor, and is absolutely free from any trace of fusil oil or other injurious impurity, and has evidently been distilled from superior rye grain, always used instead of malt in the production of the choicest qualities of Schnapps. It is very smooth to the palate, and in this respect compares favorably with other samples offered for sale. It may be advised as equally suitable for medical or economic purposes.—l have the honor to be, &c. (Signed) Wm. Johnson, Analytical Chemist to the Government of Victoria. This pure Medical Spirit, superior to any in the market, and lower in price, is offered to the public under the full conviction that it will supersede all others new in use. A Trial is Earnestly Solicited. W. & G. TURNBULL & CO., Merchants, Agents for Wellington.
