A three-storey warehouse (freehold), erected in 1876; contractors, Rountree and Russell ; architect, C. Tringham, Esq. The whole of the frame Hobarton hardwood (extra size); front planked and panelled with heart of kauri, as well as flooring ; aides, back, and roof covered with corrugated iron ; size of building, 50ft. frontage to Mannersstreet ; depth, 80ft. or thereabouts. Ground floor approached from Mannersstreet ; second floor approached from Willisstreet, being on a level with the approach from Willis-street ; third (floor is also approached from Willis-street, thereby only having to lift the goods one story, which is accomplished by an American lift, being a fixture on the third floor. Machinery and fixtures consist of a steam- i engine, 5 horse-power, working up to 8, with a large Cornish boiler, built by K. W. Mills, Esq., capable of supplying a 12 horse-power engine ; two corn crushers, and two oats do.; one chaff-cutter (workby steam), one bone-mill (do.); one powerful steam winch. The whole of the machinery is in thorough working order - . Flans of both properties to be seen at the office of the auctioneer, who would beg to remind capitalists, both in Christchurch and Dunedin, that these freehold premises are decidedly the most eligible for carrying on a large business (having every facility, as well as being situated in the two principal streets) now obtainable in Wellington.
