Midhibst stands in the centre of one of the richest and most magnificent tracts of agricultural laud in New Zealand, and being on the Trunk Line of Railway, and having roads radiating from the town into the rich surroundin"- country, possesses advantages unequalled by those of any other inland town. Midhirst is exactly half-way between Hawera and New Plymouth, being 22 miles distant from each place. The Railway from New Plymouth will, in the coarse of a few months, be opened to Midhirst, where the Wanganui and Wellington coach will meet the train.
