The woolsalesare progressing satisfactorily ; prices are well sustained at opening rates. For tho home trade there is fair competition ; the foreign buyers are operating cautiously. The corn market is easier. Some heavy failures are announced, including Messrs. James Virtue and Co., Baldy, Hester, and Co., and Tinsley Brothers, all in the publishing trade.
