The steamer Tul. from Lyttelton and Kaikoura, arrived early yesterday morning. Her departure for Foxton has been postponed until to-day, owing to the boisterous weather. „ The steamer Wellington, from Picton and Nelson, arrived at the wharf at 7 o’clock yesterday morning. She left Nelson on Tuesday afternoon, called at Picton, and arrived here as above. She leaves again for Picton to-day. . The topsail schooner Zlor, from Timaru. arrived in harbor yesterday morning. She reports having left the roadstead on Wednesday, and up till yesterday experienced light west and north-west winds. She brings a full cargo of colonial jiroduce. The Union Company’s steamer Taupo, for Auckland via the East Coast, left the wharf yesterday afternoon. She, however, only got as far ns the Heads, when, owing to the strong southerly gale, she was compelled to anchor. The Stormbird, for Wanganui, does not leave until to-day. , ~ The barque Sophia R. Luhrs has been purchased by Captain Williams. She is to be commanded by Captain -Patou, now in charge of the brig Robin Hood. The steamer Hawea, from the Manukan via Neiv Plymouth, Is due here this morning. She leaves for the South again during the afternoon. The steamer Arawata should arrive here early this morning from 3Xelbourne via the South. The topsail schooner G M. Coleson arrived in harbor from Lyttelton yesterday morning-. Captain Brownell reports having left Lyttelton on Thursday, and for the Hist twelve hours ?had light north winds, from that time until yesterday morning light north west winds. The wind then changed to the southward, and she sailed in as above. She brings a full cargo of colonial produce. t A steamer was at anchor under Man a Island yesterday, which will probably be the Manawatu, bound to Wanganui.
