SCAB.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE NEW ZEALAND TIMES. Sir, —Will you, or any of your numerous readers, kindly give an opinion if ifc is just that one brought before the Court for a breach of the Scab Act by an inspector should be saddled with the expenses of a solicitor employed by the inspector to prove a case against the sheepfanner. English law generally considers one innocent till proved guilty. The police are seldom heard to employ a solicitor to try and criminate anyone, much less do they charge the one whom they try to criminate with the charges of the solicitor employed by them,—l am, &c., J. August IS.
