She left for Nelson and the AV'est Coast, taking cargo for Taranaki, last night. The steamer hotorua, from tho South, is due today. She will leave again during the afternoon for Sydney, via Napier and Auckland, taking the outward portion of the San Francisco mail. Tho tine steamer Tararua is duo here this morning from tho South. She leaves again in tho evening for Melbourne, via the West Coast. The American barque Alma, which left here on for Lyttelton, tan back to harbor again on Thursday night through meeting adverse weather. She left again yesterday afternoon. Tiic steamer Kiwi has undergone a thorough overhaul. She sails for Nftpierand Castlepolnt to-day. Tho barques AVhittington and Courier' were removed from tho whidjf yesterday. The schooner Manmon has nearly completed discharging he- cargo of timber, and willieave again during the coming week for another load. The AVeUiugton. from Picton and Nelson, is due here on Sunday morning. t The following passengers have booked for London by the Chaudicro: —Air. Bell and child and Mr. Booth, .The favorite ship Pleione left our shores yesterday for Melbourne, where she proceeds for orders. The steamer Tui, from Waitara, arrived at the wharf at 2.30 yesterday morning. She left at 0 o’clock on Wednesday morning, and experienced strong S.AV. and S. we vther across. She left for Kaikoura and Ly tclton yesterday evening. The topsail schooner J. G. Coleson,lately purchased by Messrs bcott and Co. of Wellington, arrived here early yesterday morning. She left Lyttelton on the 11th, and experience fine weather with head winds across the Strait. She brings the following cargo : 702 sacks, 1 cases, 105 cheese. Order. She sails next week for West Wanganui for a load of coal. The Union Company’s steamer Wanaka arrived here nt G o'clock yesterday morning. She reports leaving the Manukau at 8 p.m. on the 13th, and arrived off New Plymouth at 9 a.m. on the 11th. Lift at 5 p.m. tho same day. and a rive I at Nelson at 9 a in. on tho 15th Left there at 8.30 p.m , and arrived here as above. Slu sailed again for the South during the afternoon. The » s. Zealamlia, with the London mails of the 11th Jul-, left Sm Franscisco on the sth August, contrao date. The s.s. City of Sydney, from Auckland, with the New Zealand mails of the 23rd July, arrived at San Francisco on the 14th August. Means.
