Corporation Notices NOTICE is hereby given,—That the Municipal Corporation of the City of Wellington having determined to construct certain works connected with the drainage of the city upon land forming parts of the sections numbered respectively 6, 7 and 8, Evansßay District, and of 12, 13, and 14, Watts Peninsula District, haye caused a survey to be made of the land required to bo taken by them for the purposes of the said works, and plans to be prepared showing generally the nature of the works proposed to be executed thereon, and showing also the names of tho owners and occupiers of tho said land so far as the same could be ascertained, ami have copies of such plans respectively to bo deposited at the Patent Slip'office, Evans Bay, in the Karori-Makara-road District, being the road , district in which tho said land is situated. And NOTICE is hereby further given,— That the land so required to betaken as aforesaid contains three, hundred and sixty-four acres, little more or. less, and 'commences at tho south-western corner of section No. 8, and extends therefrom easterly, along the foreshore of Lyalls Bay, to a point at tho south-eastern corner of section No. 14, where the same adjoins a public road there, and extends from such last-igentioned point north-easterly along the western side of tha said road on a bearing 34° 27' to the apex of an angle formed by the junction of the western boundary of the said road with the southern boundary of another road extending westerly therefrom, and extending from the apex of the said angle along the said road in the first place ou a bearing 254° 55', 1014 3 links; and next on ft bearing 290° 28', 1804’3 links to the western end of the said road; and' extending thence 101'S links by a diagonal line aerpss the said road to ; the western extremity of tho northern bound- < ary (hereof; and thence by a line bearing 280° 28', 1703 links ; and by. a further line bearing i 288° 21', 18487 links, and by a further line bearing 325° 40', 1058 links; and by a further lino bearing 351° O', 230 links; and by a further line bearing 278° 48', 2383 9 links; and by a further line bearing 223°1T, 1420 4 links to a public road;, and then along the eastern side of ( the said public road by a lino bearing 177° 22', ’6OB links; arid by a further line also along the eastern side of the said public road 1 bearing 189° 20', 880 links; and then by a line diagonally across the said public road and be- | yond the same bearing 214° 09', 148 links and 563 links; and then by a line bearing 256° ' 00', 50 links; and then by a lino bearing 186° ■ 00', 5100 links to tho commencing point. ■ And NOTICE is hereby further given,— • That the works proposed to be executed upon tho said land consist of major and minor carrier channels for the distribution of the sewage of tho said city upon the said land. , And NOTICE is hereby' further given,— That all persons who may be affected by the | execution of tho proposed works aro required to set forth in writing any well-grounded oh- j jection to tho same, dr to the taking of tho land required for the same, as set forth in the said plans, and to send such writing to the ■ Town Clerk of the said city within forty days j from the first publication of this notice.
