Nympho: steamers, Wanganui, Wellington, and Stormblrd; sliips, Caltloch and Plolone; barques, Chaudlcre, Cliasca, Cralgmnllen, Whittington, Firth of Forth, and -Elizabeth; brig* dines. Endeavor and Isaboll?. The Union Company's steamer Wellington returned from Picton and Nelson shortly before midday yesterday. She left Ne'son at 8 o'clock on Tuesdar evening, and arrived at Plcton at 5 o’clock the next morning. Left again after an hour's slay. Called at D'Urville Island ; landed cargo,, and arrived here as above. As usual she brought a large number of passengers.-. . The steamer Stormblrd left Wanganui atll.lo p.m. on Tuesday night. Crossed the bar an hour later,and arrived alongside the. wharf shortly before nom yesterday. The schooner Shepherdess, with another cargo of timber from Polorus Sound, arrived in harbor early yesterday morning. She left the Soua lon Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock and experienced light S.W. winds, with flno weather. Du- log the afternoon she ha-ilcd alongside the brestwork, and will start landing her timber to-day. Tho schooner Maid of Otago, from Timaru wllh grain, hanled Into the wharf yesterday, and commenced discharging her cargo She left Timaru last Saturday with a strong S.E. breeze, and arrived off Wellington Heads on Monday evening last. On getting inside It fell calm, and she was obliged to stop there until late on Tuesday night, when she arrived as above.

The barque Cralgmullen was shifted from her discharging berth yesterday, and the Caitloch was hauled in. The Utter Teasel will break, bulk this morning at S o'clock.

The steadier Manawatn left last evening for Wanganui. She was alongside (he barque (’llzabet > the greater part of yesterday taking in transhipments. The old brigantine Isabella has been shifted to the breastwork, where the necessary repairs will be effected prior to her entering the costal trade. The Government steamer Stella left last ev -ning on a tour round the lighthouses of the South She will be away on this trip about three weeks. The topsail >clnoner Mary Ogilvie when being towed out of Kelson on the 15th fnH. was taken by the tide between the Arrow Rock and the shore. She grounded oa the rock, and was left dry at low water. She was floated off the following evening without sustaining any damage. The s.s. Tui, .ram Foxton, arrived at the wharf at 7.30 last evening. ■ She left at 9.30 yesterday morning, crossed :he bar at 10.45 a.ra., ani arrived here as above. Fine weather was experienced throughout the trip. Captain Wills reports seeing a brig In the S rait, which ho tick for the Robin Hood, from Newcastle.
