The whole of the profits are divided amongst tho assured, and bonuses to the amount of £910,000 have already been allotted. The last division of profits took place in 1874, and the cash surplus then divided amounted' to, £135,000, giving additions to policies averaging £3 per cent, per annum on the sura assured. The bonuses paid ou policies becoming claims have varied from £ls per cent, bn thb sum assured for a policy of five years’ standing to £l5O per cent, for one of twenty-five years’ duration.
