" Sir, —We, the undersigned, do hereby certify that we have inspected the building on Lambton-quay lately used by the Presbyterian congregation, and after a thorough investigation and examination in’ different places, we find that the studs, ns far as we can see, also the floor joists and other timber, are sound and good for all practical purposes, with the exception of the bottom plates* which, as a matter of course from having been near the ground, are decayed, as also some of the boards in the floor and lining, and a few pieces of the sarking.
