SPECIAL TELEGRAM. London, June 29. The first innings of the Hunslet team closed for 228. In the second innings the Australians made 180. In the Hunslet second innings nine went out for 28. The bowling of Allan and Spofforth was very effective. The game resulted in a draw. The Bank reserve has been seriously weakened by the efflux of gold for abroad. There is great activity on the Stock Exchange, particularly in foreign stocks. Loans are in large demand. Consols are rising, and now stand at 95J. Australian securities are remarkably firm. The wool market is satisfactory ; operations have been made at opening rates. The corn market is flat and drooping, owing to the splendid prospect of favorable harvest operations. The ‘ revenue for the , last quarter was £1,167,830, being a decrease of £344,496 upon the corresponding quarter of last year.
