The following is au account of the late handicap match. The match commenced on Monday, the 27th May, at the clubroom, Panama Chambers. The members were divided into three classes, and handicapped as follows by the vice-president, Mr. Benbow:—First class to give to second pawn and move, and to third pawn and two moves ; second class to give to third pawn and move:—

The annual match, Town v. Civil Service, is to be commenced this evening, when all members are requested to be in attendance as near to the opening hour, seven, as possible.
