SPECIAL TELEGRAM. London, June 21. There has been a military review at Paris at which 38,000 troops were present. In consequence of difficulties having arisen in Congress as to the boundaries of New Bulgaria, a special messenger has been sent to the Czar. Lytteltol, 5 ; Studd, 2, bowled by Allen ; Walker, 24, caught off Garrett; Hadou, 2 ; E. In the first innings six of the Australians were out for 45, the rest bringing up the score. In the first innings three of the Middlesex made 107, the rest collapsed. The bowling of Garrett was very effective. (The total does not tally with that given on Saturday. Forty-four on the Middlesex side are wanting.) June 22. Money is in moderate demand. Discounts are stiffening. The Stock Exchange has been adversely affected by heaviness on some of the Continental Bourses. Operators seem disposed to realise profit. Consols 95J. The market for Australian securities is very steady. Wool.—Unflagging interest is being displayed, and prices have improved 5 per cent, as the sales progress. The present series closes about the sth July. Corn Market.—Prices are weak, and have a downward tendency. Foreign arrivals are heavy. The American harvest is estimated at fifty million quarters.
