A MARRIAGE TROUSSEAU.
An English paper gives a description of some of the dresses got up at Worth's establishment in the Rue de la Pair, where fifteen superb dresses have been prepared for the Countess of Rosebery, who brings to her noble husband the agreeable dowry of a million sterling. One of these dresses is a Directory, robe of satin, the shade of “ old gold,” a particularly soft; rich, dull yellow, greatly in' favor just now ; with a pelisse with three waistcoats, the first sewed on to the skirt, the other two forming part Of the corsage. The pelisse is of brocaded silk, same color, with stripes of white and dark blue, dotted over with tiny red roses; the large pockets are ornamented with enormous buttons representing peopte in oldfashioned dresses, embroidered in rehef on a gold ground. , A long polonaise of peacock blue trimmed with a band of moss-green velvet, and a skirt of the same blue trimmed with a band of the same green velvet, embroidered with bine for-get-me-nots. The middle of the train 1 is of brocaded silk in the two colors, tho back of the corsage is of moss velvet, and the long waiscoat is of brocaded silk like tho train. A round walking-dress is of rich marine bluo silk ; the tunic, of , a soft gray Indian woollen tissue, is opcu showing the skirt trimmed with broad perpendicular band of plaited silk of the same color’; tho whole.lavishly embroidered with elegant wreaths in gray and blue silk. . , ■ Among the outer garments .of this splendid outfit, is a magnificent pelisse of black Genoa velvet trimmed with five hands of Russian sable,Worth alone a moderate fortune.
