A New Zealand Qazctte dated 13th June, and received by us yesterday, contains the following notifications :—A return of land sold and deposits received in the provincial district of Wellington from tiro Ist to the 31st May. The total revenue and expenditure during the financial year 1877-78, to the termination of the four-weekly period ended 4th Hay, shows that there 1024 miles of railway open for traffic, and the total revenue to date was £102,241 Os. 5d., and the expenditure £333,781 Os. 7d., the percentage of expenditure to revenue being 72 - 21.—The results of the agricultural statistics taken in February last are arranged according to the provincial districts of the colony.—-Proclamations are published relative to the boundaries of the borough of Koslyn, and of the Resident Magistrate’s dis--trict of Collingwood and Nelson South-west Goldfields. —Certain lands in Southland are set apart on deferred payments, and certain other laud is declared open for sale within mining districts Westland. —An Order in Council is published as to the rehearing of a native claim by Mere Raihi, relative to a piece of land at Waioraatatini, Hawke’s Bay.—-The Resident Magistrate’s Court House, Kumara, and Ryan’s store, Dillmau’s Town, are appointed polling places for the doctoral district of Hokitika. —Percival Clay Neil), Esq., is nominated consular agent for France at Dunedin for the Middle Island of New Zealand.— In reference to the importation of stud stock into New South Wales the following regulation is published ;—“ No stud stock will be admitted into the colony of New South Wales from any other colony unless a certificate, by the Chief Inspector of Stock for such other colony, be produced to the Inspector for the port or crossing in this colony at which it is proposed to introduce such stock, that they are the produce of some of the Australian colonies or of New Zealand, and not of any colony or country outside of these colonies.”—Henry Lloyd, Esq,, of Wade is gazetted a coroner and justico of the peace for the colony.— T. Allen, Esq., is appointed Chairman of the Licensiug Court for Pelorus and Havelock, vice W. Whitehorn, Esq. resigned.—The following alterations to the rates for the conveyance &0., on all tho New Zealand Railways are hereby declared to bo fixed. To take effect from the 17th day of June, 1878:—All material required for tho construction and maintenance of streets and roads to be carried at one penny (Id.) per ton per mile, with a minimum charge of live shillings (55.) per truck of five tons load,
