PALMERSTON NORTH.

{WIOM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT). Monday. Jonathan Jackson, a carpenter, has been missing since Priday night, and is supposed to have been drowned in the River Manawatu. He was last seen going, apparently, down to the river to cross it in a punt. The punt was found about half a mile lower down the stream uninjured. Search parties have been out, but as yet have found no traces of the body.
