Jacorab and Son report, under date, London, 25th ■ April, 1873. as follows: " With the protracted state of uncertainty in European politics—almost worse perhaps for trade than if war were actually declared-and with tho near approach of Importaht public sales here on the 14th proximo, there has been but little business doing In colonial wool in this market. What few small transactions have Taken place have been at prices comparing favorably with those of the closing rates of the Match-Aprll auctions; whilst reports from tho woollen- districts on tho Continent do not point to a very flourishing trade : still. In many ultimate markets stocks of tho raw material are very low. The Wool Importers’ Committee have limited the quantity to be offered at the public sales, beginning here on the 14th of May, to 810,000 bales of fresh arrivals; any arrivals since the ISth Inst, forming stock fat August-September sales. A public sale of about 20,000 bales of aouth American wool opened at Antwerp last night (under guarantee that no further nubile auction will be held there till the 16th of July) with good competition, and prices' ruled about on a par with those of their January public sales.
