Bhc left Nelson at 4.30 p.m. on Tuesday, and arrived at Picton at 1.30 a.m. yesterday; left again one hour afterwards, and arrived here as above-stated. Experienced fine weather. The Wellington will sail again for Picton and Nelson this afternoon. The s.s. Jane Douglas sailed for Fcxton at 3 o clock yesterday afternoon. Anderson reports leaving Sydney at & p.m. on the ISth. and cleared the Heads at 9 p in. with light S.E. wind; thence bad moderate variable winds to the 20th with southerly swell, and from that day to the 20th, encountered a series of hard easterly gales, high sea. and thick, rainy weather. During this time no sights could be taken, and the Easby had to keep steaming head to sea, making but alow progress, averaging only about 80 to 10U miles per day, and at times only , having steerage, way, while large bodies of water were continually sweeping over her. At 1 on the 28th passed- Cape Farewell, and thence had fine wegtber to arrival as above stated. The Easby discharged a quantity of coal from Newcastle, and general cargo from Sydney yesterday, and was to sail for South at daylight this morning The s.s. Go-Ahead arrived bare from the East Coast at hall-past 4 o’clock yesterday morning, with a full cargo of product!. She left Napier at 4 p.m. on Monday, and experienced strong headwinds and heavy sea to Gape Faliiser; thence till arrival light northerly winds. . The p.E. Luna is expected to arrive here to-day from Lyttelton, having left there at 1 p.m. yesterday.
