NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council will, at their ordinary meeting, to be held_on THURSDAY, the 30th day of MAY, make a water rate as follows : 5 per cent, on annual value on all buildings used as dwelling-houses, to which water is laid on ; 21 per cent, on annual value on all buildings used as dwelling-houses; to which water is not laid on, but situated within 100 yards of any Corporation ; water-pipes; X 21 per cent, on annual value of all build- • ings used as stores, warehouses, or for any other purpose except as dwellinghouses— for the. year commencing Ist APRIL, 1878, and terminating 31st MARCH, 1879. ‘ Also, that the estimates of income ' and expenditure for the above period, and the ratebook, are now open for inspection at the Opunoil office.
