THE MINISTERIAL STYLE.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE NEW ZEALAND TIMES. ;. Sib,— lt is with great regret that I . find Ministers, in a leading article in their own journal this morning, speaking of Sir Julius', Vogel as “ a beggar on horseback.” Sir Julius is, I believe, still the AgentGeneral of this colony in London, and it is .I said that the Government rely greatly uponU his assistance in the management of the loan o which they are now endeavoring to float inis England. He has just rendered a very, signal service to the colony at a critical time by his, ; address at the Colonial Institute, and I can- .- not help feeling that thus wantonly to-b.lack-i rl guard an absent man-and a valued- public servant is, shall I say, a blunder.-—I am, &04 : * 11 ■ - -V. • VINDEX.
