Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Wellington, as follows: For Nelson, New Plymouth, and Manu&au, per Talaroa, this day, at 5 p.m. For Napier, Auckland, Sydney, Sandwich Islands, America, the West Indies, Europe, &c., via San Francisco, per .Rotorua, on Saturday, at noon. For Blenheim, per s.s. Napier, this day, at 5 p.m. For Wanganui, per s.s. Stormbird, this day, at f» p m. For Wanganui, per Alauawatu, this day. at 6 p.m. For Nelson. Westport. Greymouth, Hokitika, and Australia, via Melbourne, per Tararua, on Saturday, at 4 p.m. For Lyttelton, Port Chalmers, and .Bluff, per Taranaki, this day, at 1 p.m. For Lyttelton. Port Chalmers, Bluff, and Australia, via Hobarton, per s.s. Albion, on Saturday, at 5 p.m. For Pictou and Nelson, per Wellington, this day, noon. On and after Wednesday, the 22ad instant, mails for Wanganui and the principal towns on the West Coast will close at tho Chief Post Office, Wellington, at 7.30 p.m. daily ('undays expected), and mails for Napier and townships on the line of road between Palmerston North and Napier, will close every Wednesdays and Saturdays at 7.30 p.m. Edward D.
