She left Port Chalmers at 4 p.m. on Friday, and arrived at Lyttelton at 8 a.m. next day ; left again at 7 p.m. on i Monday, and arrived here aa above stated. Had strong southerly winds up the coast. The Wakatipu ■ sailed for Sydney direct at 15J.15 p.m. yesterday. . The schooner Zipr left, Oaroaru on Saturday last, and experienced southerly wind as far as Kaikoura, thence beat up the coast against moderate -W. VV. winds, arriving here at 2 a.m. yesterday. She brings up a full cargo of produce.— - ■ The schooner Rose of Eden sailed round the Patent Slip yesterday morning to have her bottom canlkcd and to receive a thorough overhauL ; The Government steamer Stella sailed for The Brothers yes cerday morning. Thence she will proceed to Havelock, and then up northward to the several lighthouses ihere. 1 - ■ The s.s. Taiaroa sailed for Lyttelton yesterday afterD °The s.s. Hawea. from the South, is expected to arrive here this morning, and sail again for Auckland via the East Coast during the day. . The departure of the a.s. Go-Ahead for Castlepoint and Napier has been postponed till to-day. : A private telegram received yesterday states that the barque Pleiades, bound from Newcastle to Wellington, arrived at Napier yesterday, where she put in through stress of weather. She has had a rough passage, and is out 21 days from Newcastle. She has lost a portion of her bulwarks and sustained other damages. She brings a cargo of 500 tons coals courignea to Mr. W. R. Williams. - , , :/ Thep.B. Manawatudeft Wanganui at 12 ©clock on Monday night, and-arrived here at half-past 7 o'clock last evening. Experienced strong southerly wind and heavy sea down. The Manawafcu will sail for ■Wanganui to-day. •
