RIFLE MATCH.
The last competition for the rifle and pictures presented to the City Kifles took place on Saturday. Notwithstanding the state of the weather* a number of visitors put in an appearance to witness the last these interesting matches, and took a lively interest in the same; the shooting of W. Ballinger being creditable to any corps in the colony, haying made a possible at the 400 yards, and taking the first prize with an excellent score of 146. Too much praise cannot be given to tho competitors on the whole", each of whom has made several points over centres. We give below the aggregate of the two highest scores out of the three matches, also the scores made on Saturday. ■ Private Croucher takes the second prize:--
