Tenders E W ZEA LAND RAILWAYS SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF STORES SEPARATE WRITTEN TENDERS will be received'at this office up to NOON on SATURDAY, the 27th April, 1878, for the supply and delivery of Lubricating Pads and Vulcanite Shields for Beuther’s Patent Axleboxes. They must be addressed to the Hon. the Minister for Public Works,- Wellington, and marked outside “ Tender for the Supply and Delivery of Stores.” Specifications, patterns, and forma of tender can be seen at the Offices of the Railway Managers at Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Invercargill. Telegraphic tenders, similarly addressed and marked, will be received if presented at any Telegraph Office by NOON of the same date, provided that written tenders in due form are lodged at a Railway Manager’s Office by the same hour, and accompanied by a cheque specially marked by a banker as good for twenty-one days, and to be made payable in Wellington, in favor of the Re-ceiver-General’s Deposit Account, and not to bearer or order. SERVICE BETWEEN POBIHARBOR AND FOXTON. General Post Office, Wellington, 23rd April, 1878. In anticipation of the completion of the line of railway between Wanganui and Foxton, it is proposed to effect a DAILY EXCHANGE OF MAILS BETWEEN WELLINGTON AND WANGANUI by means of a coach service between Wellington and Porirua Harbor, thence to Foxton by steamer. Offers are therefore invited for the performance of a mail steam service, once a day each way, between Porirua Harbor and Foxton, for a period of two years, commencing on or about the 15 th May proximo. The service to be performed in accordance with a ,time-table to be furnished from time to time by the Postmaster-General. Particulars of the service may be obtained on application at the General Post Office. Tenders to state the names, tonnage, and horse-power of the vessels to be employed in the service. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. Tenders, addressed to the Hon. the Post-master-General, and endorsed “Tender for Porirua and Foxton Steam Service,” will be received at the General Post Office, Wellington, until NOON of SATURDAY, the sth PROXIMO.
