SEPARATE WRITTEN TENDERS will be received at this office up to NOON on SATURDAY, the 27th April, 1878, for the supply and delivery of Lubricating Pads and Vulcanite Shields for Beuther’s Patent Axleboxes. They must be addressed to the Hon. the Minister for Public Works, Wellington, and marked outside “Tender for the Supply aud Delivery of Stores.” Specifications, patterns, and forma of tender can, be seen at the Offices of the Railway Managers at Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, aud Invercargill. Telegraphic tenders, similarly addressed and marked, will be received if presented at any Telegraph Office by NOON of the same date; provided that written tenders in due form are lodged at a Railway Manager’s Office by the same hour, and accompanied by a cheque specially marked by a banker as good for twenty-one days, aud to be made payable in Wellington, in favor of the Re-ceiver-General’s Deposit A ccount, and not to bearer or order. WRITTEN TENDERS will be received at this office up to NOON on WEDNESDAY, the 24th APRIL, 1878, for the SUPPLY and DELIVERY of 10,000 SLEEPERS, to be delivered on the line where required between 39 miles 20 chains and 44 miles SO chains for the Wellington-Master-ton Railway. They must be addressed to the Hon. the Minister for Public Works, Wellington, aud marked outside “ Tender for Sleepers, Wellington-Mastertou Railway.” Specifications may be seen at the Public Works Offices, Foxton, Wanganui, and Wellington, the Railway Manager’s Office, Picton, and the Post Office, Eeatherston. Telegraphic tenders, similarly, addressed and :marked, will be received if presented at any Telegraph Office by NOON of the same date, provided that written tenders in due form are lodged at a District or Resident Engineer's Office by the same hour, and accompanied by a cheque on some bank in the town where the tender is lodged ; such cheque to be specially marked by a banker as good for one month, and to be in favor of the Receiver-General's Deposit Account only, and not to bearer or order.
