The grain market is animated, and large quantities are being delivered in the town which had been slacked outside the railway stations in the country. The quality of both wheat and oats is good, wheat, 4s; oats, 2s 3d; barley, nominal, very little offering. OAMARU, Friday. The transactions in the grain market have been of a limited nature, ami prices are somewhat lower than those of last week. For good samples of wheat 4s is now offered, but farmers are disinclined to sell at that figure oats. 3s to 3s 4d, for best samples; good bright samples of malting barley, 4s Bd. CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. The grain and produce market is very quiet, and but little outside inquiry exists. Buyers’ quotations are as follows;—Wheat, 4s 4d to 4s Cd; oats, 3s 3d to 3s Cd* barley, 4s Id to 4s 3d; butter, Bdto9d; cheese, CiVd to 8J<1; flour, £l2 to £l3; bran, £4los; sharps, £5 10s; potatoes are dull at £3.
