SPECIAL TELEGRAM. London, March 3rd. Thesituationis uncertain. The English Press has assumed a warlike tone, and warmly applauds Lord Salisbury's circular. Austria has replied equally decisively. The Russian Press indicates that Russia is hesitating. Mr. Adderley is to be raised to tho peerage. (REUTER'S SPECIAL TO PRESS AGENCYJ London, April 2. Sir William Jervois has arrived in England. April 3. The situation is uncertain. The English Press, and the greater part of the Continental Press appland Salsbury’s circular - . Austria has replied equally decisively. The tone of the Russian Press indicates hesitation on the part of Russia. Adderley has been r - aised to the Peerage. AUSTRALIAN NEWS. Melbourne, Thursday. The Council has received a message from the Governor acknowledging the Council’s address to the Queen. The message was read and the Council adjourned until Tuesday next. Tho Assembly, in debating on the address to the Governor, acknowledged bis impartial and constitutional action during the crisis. The Railway Conference adjourned sine die without agreeing as to thermite of the Oakleigh and Melbourne Railway.
