' The above Valuable Properties, with the exception of 222 and 223, are approachable by a well-made public road, known as No. 3 line, from the main Hutt and Wairarapa-road, close to Mr. Wilkins’ Railway Hotel. This road ihas long been in use by the inhabitants of Wallaceville and Whiteman’s Valley, and for the convenience of the District the Government are making a stopping-station where the railroad crosses No. 3 line, which is about three-quarters of a mile from the Upper Hutt Station. VALUABLE FREEHOLD FARM, Containing ONE HUNDRED AXD SIXTY-FIVE ACRES, SITUATED IN FOXTON, (Within one mile of the Post Office), Being part of Rural Section No. 453, in the TOWNSHIP OF FOXTON. MB. ERNEST S. THYNNE has been instructed by Mr. Richard Taylor to offer the above valuable farm by public auction, at his saleroom, Foxton, on Thursday, the 11th April, without reserve. The property is partly rich swamp land, easily drainable, and partly old Manuka land. About twenty acres are sown down in English grasses. There is a small cottage bn the laud. The property is bounded on one side by land the property of J. Gower, Esq.; and land the, opposite side of the road has been sold in an unimproved state, at prices ranging from £4 10s. to £6 10s. an acre. By Order of the Liquidators of the Para Para Iron and Coal Company (Limited). AUCTION ON THURSDAY, 9th MAY, ■ At 12 o'clock, On the Company's Property, Collingwood. THE WHOLE of we PROPERTY and PLANT, viz.— Lot 1. Lease from the Crown of all the coal in 920 acres of land, for 21 years, from Ist day of January, 1870, at a royalty of 2 per cent., which shall not he less than £l6 a year. This is the company’s coalmine, and the seams have been driven into in several places. There are over 800 ft. of iron tramway in the drives, and from thence there 4s an iron tramway about two miles long to the wharf. Part of the land ■ over which this goes is the company’s freehold, the rest has been held under a lease at a 'peppercorn rent. Also, 2J acres and 13 sections of the township of Ferutown, all freehold,: on which aro six cottages, manager's house, stables, storehouses, a Pooley’s 5-ton weighbridge, with house, and the wharf, with coal bunkers. This lot will include all the plant ion the above-described sections, which is everything necessary for working the coalmine.; | Lot 2. 150 j acres freehold, situated about a ■ mile from the wharf above-mentioned.
