A number of the members of the Star Boating Club met at their shed on Saturday afternoon, to bid farewell to their late honorary secretary, Mr, G- N. Gair, who is leaving Wellington for Dunedin. Mr. Chapman on their behalf presented Mr. Gair with a handsome liqueur stand, bearing au inscription indicating the appreciation in which his services were held and the regret of the members at losing him. Mr. Gair replied in suitable terms, and the presentation concluded with three hearty cheers for him.
