The following valuable freeholds in the fertile Valley of the Mungaroa, Upper Hutt, being the suburban farm sections to WALLACEVILLE, UPPER HUTT joining the above The above Valuable Properties, with the exception of 222 and 223, are by a well-made public road, known as No. 3 line, from the main Hutt and Wairarapa-road, close to Mr. Wilkins’ Railway Hotel. This road has long been in use by the inhabitants of Wallaceville and Whiteman’s Valley, and for the convenience of the District the Government are making a stopping-station where the railroad crosses No. 3 line, which is about three-quarters of a mile from the Upper Hutt Station. VALUABLE FREEHOLD FARM, Containing ONE HUNDRED ASID SIXTY-FIVE ACRES, SITUATED IN FOXTON, (Within one mile of the Post Office), Being part ot Rural Section No. 453, in the TOWNSHIP OF FOXTON. MR. ERNEST S. THYNNE has been instruoted by Mr. Richard Taylor ; to offer the above valuable farm by public auction, at his saleroom, Foxton, on Thursday, the 11th April, without reserve. The property .is partly . rich swamp land, easily drainable, and partly old Manuka land. About twenty acres are sown down in English grasses. There is a small cottage on the land. The property is bounded oii one side by land the property of J. Gower, Esq.; and land the opposite side of the road has been sold in an unimproved state, at prices ranging from £4 10a. to £6 10s. an acre. There is a mortgage on the property of £2OO, with an unexpired term of nearly two years to run. This offers an admirable opportunity to a settler with small means. By Order of the Liquidators of the Para Para Iron and Coal Company (Limited). AUCTION ON THURSDAY, 9th MAY, At 12 o’clock, On the Company’s Property, Collingwood. THE WHOLE of ihe PROPERTY AND PLANT, viz.—
Lot 1. Lease from the Crown of all the coal in 920 acres of laud, for 21 years, from Ist day of January, 1870, at a royalty of 2 per cent., which shall not be less than £l6 a year. This is the company’s coalmine, and the seams have been driven into in several places. There are over 800 ft. of iron tramway in the drives, and from thence there is an iron tramway about two miles long to the wharf. Part of the land over which this goes is the company’s freehold, the rest has been held under a lease at a peppercorn rent. Also, 2J acres and 13 sections of the township of Perntowu, all freehold, on which are six cottages, manager’s house, stables, storehouses, a Pooley’s 5-ton weighbridge, with house, and the wharf, with coal bunkers. This lot will include all the plant on the above-described sections, which is everything necessary for working the coalmine. Lot 2. 150 acres freehold, situated about a mile from tile wharf above-mentioned. On it arc two cottages and sheds, brick kiln, about 80,000 bricks, wharf, and a quantity of plant. 1 Lot 3. Two 40-ton barges and one 10-ton punt, lying near the company’s wharf. They were built in Nelson, and have been but little used, and will bo sold separately. , Conditions of sale, and catalogues containing fuller particulars, can be had from the Liquidators, or from tho Manager of the mine, who will show the property to any intending purchaser. For the convenience of intending purchasers, the steamer Lady Barkly will leave Nelson on the evening of May 6, arriving at Collingwood next morning, and returning on May 11th, thus giving two clear days for examining the various lots before the sale.
