(REUTER'S SPECIAL TO PRESS AGENCYJ AUSTRALIAN NEWS. Sydney, Tuesday. In the action Manning v. the New Zealand Insurance Company, tor seven thousand pounds insurance on the steamer Lord Ashley, the verdict was for plaintiff for the full amount and interest. The Rev. William B. Clarke, the Government geologist, has been stricken with paralysis, and is seriously ill. Melbourne, Tuesday. The city is selely dependent on the water supply from the Yarra, which is a serious hardship.
