TYE has been favored with instructions from Alfred Newman, Esq., to sell by public auction in Napier on the above date—--1 O 000 ACRES of the XV, VVV Estate, on the the Arlington main road from Waipukuvan to Povaugahau, and not far from the Waipukurau Railway Station, is now being laid out in blocks of 500 acres downwards. This land is of excellent quality, and well suitable for agricultural and pastoral purposes, being all clear and ready for the plough. It is pretty certain that in a very short time the railway will branch off from between the head of the lake Hatuma, and Hr. Purvis Russell’s woolshed, going though the centre of this property to Poraugahau, and other places to the southward. There are about four miles of frontage to the main road, being laid off in about 40-acre sections, and a beautifully-situated township named Wanstead, within a few minutes’ walk of where there will be a station on the above railway line.
