The amount of Customs duties collected at this port for the week ending March 7 was as under:— £. « £ a. d.

Quotations for Imported goods have been without hange during the past week, although the large accessions to our stocks which have recently been received have not been without., their effect, in prices, which continue low and [unsatisfactory. Kerosene is dull at Is lOd, withlieavy. stocks. A decrease in tbostockscf Adelaide flour has enabled holders to maintain their quotations at £lB per ton, but we do' act anticipate higher wtea,.'i .

In colonial produce quotations are unaltered, and generally business may be said to be unsatisfactory owing to low prices and heavy stocks. Butter In kegs Is difficult to move off at 8d to Bid for prime samples.; while .questronablft. lots are sold at 2d to 34 per lb under the hammer : bacon and hams, new cure, are In fair demand at B<l to 9d for cloth-packed at Canterbury ; cheese, large stocks, at 7d to Ijdptrlb: dour, few'transactions' have; under notice, but we hear of sales at £l3 for.guaranteed brands of Oamaru mills. Grain—Oats, in fair supply at 4s to 4s Sd per bushel; maize, 5s 3d to 5s 6d; bran and sharps, unaltered ; potatoes, £5 per ton. Mr. Thomas, reports . produce, prices -as - follows: — Flour, £l3 to £l3 10s: oats, old, 4s 2d; bran, Is 2d; wheat, 4s: hams, 9Jd; bacon, 8d;-cheese; 7d; potatoes, :£6 15s; pollard.,7s: maize, ss; butter, Is.
