' ’ PUBLICANS V. B HEWERS. A return,match—tho second during the season—was played on the Basin Reserve, yesterday afternoon. The first match was .won by the Brewers, who on this occasion also secured; an easy victory. ■-There was a fair attendance of spectators, and the play was very good all round,’< considering the rough nature of the ground.- The competitors, sat down! in the middle, of the .day to luncheon at. the', Oaledo* jiian Hotel, Mr. George Crawford occupying the chair. The health of the-' Brewers was proposed by Mr. George Crawford, and responded; to by Mr, ; Pascoo. Mr. Pascoe proposed that of the Publicans, and Mr. Valentine responded.
