Tui arrived here from the South at 11:30 a.m. yesterday, with cargo and passengers. She left Xyttelton at 6 p.m. on the 3rd instant, and arrived at Kaikoura at 10 a.m. on the 4th ; sail d again at 11 •'clock same day; but meeting with severe weather jmt into Port Underwood for shelter, - and remained th-r* till 5 o’clock yesterday morning, 1 when she srtarfced for . this port, and arrived as above-stated. The Tui will sail for Foxton to-dav. The s.«. Wanaka sailed for South at 1 o’clock yesterday afternoon. ■ : . « The s.s. Arawata. from ifelbourne via the South, with the Suez mail, will arrive here to-morrow morning, and sail again same day for Nelson. The brigantine Sea Gall has cleared out at the Customs for Lyttelton, with railway material, and will nail with the first fair wind. The Sarah Pile is loading with similar cargo at the breastwork, also for Lyttelton.. . ~ .7. 7 • The ship Gainsborough was expected to sail from Nelson for this port. yesterday, and with the first .northerly [Wind she may be looked for here. < ; , The s.s.‘3tormV»ird ‘ for Wanganui, and Rangatira ; for Napier and Poverty Bay, sailed shortly af er 5: o’clock last evening. ' ■ I The s.s. Star of the South arrived here yesterday; afternoon at 2o’clock from the South. She will return to the same ports to-morrow. Messrs. W. and G. Turnbull have received tele-; graphic advices from Singapore, stating tiiat their three-masted schooner May arrived there on the 27th , ult., and was expected to sail for Wellington on the 2nd Inst. Consequently, with favorable winds, she 1 may be expected to arrive here about the end of April next or early in May. ! WRECK of THE BARQUE GLENC°E7 Information has been received by Captain Bendall, - to the effect that the barque Glencoe has been wrecked at Gore Bay by parting from )ier moorings during ] easterly weather, and going ashore. The Glencoe was engaged in Gore Bay landing piles which she had, brought from Bateman's Bay. The Glencoe is owned by Captain Daldy and Captain Carey, the latter being,. In charge of her. She was partly insured in the South British Company for £SOO. The; 1 following telegram' was received by Captain Bendall yesterday:— r “ Cheviot. March 4th.; : "lean do nothing for the vessel.
