' ' After three or four false, starts,. owing to the fraotiousness of Bribery, the' hdrses got away all of a string, Oberon having the woist of it. Titania took the lead, Oberon coining wed up, and in the s raight the colt took the lead by a good length, the other three horses lying abreast ; oh rounding the turn Oberon fell to the rear, and from that time was out of it The three others ran tvell abreast until opposite the stand, when Bribery dropped,out, and from this, home it was a magnificent race between Ariel and Titania. On coming into the straight Ariel took the slighest lead, wbich-he increased until passing the post, when he was a length in advance, Titania being hard pushed, and the other two nearly, a dozen lengths to the rear. Kay rode Templeton all he knew up the straight, but the bov on Trump Card never appeared to slack rein, and won bandsdown by a full length; Ray slogging Templeton all up the straight. A good start was effected, Lima coming away with the lead, and Foul Play on the quarter, Titania and Louglands racing well together. On passing the stand the Vir.inia colt was. out of it. On nearing the back of the course Titania pushed the former, but failed to’catch the leaders. Foul Play and Lima raced all the way round neck and neck, and a splendid race ensued up the straight, both riders flogging on coining round the turn. about .200 yards of the po-t Eoul Play began to get a decided advantage, and gradually improved the position till past the post, when he was a full length in advan e, Titania being about four lengths in the rear, Lima with Longlauds saving himself ten lengths behind, and Virginia colt 150 yards in the rear. Time, 2miu. 6-sec. The Scurry and Consolation Stakes wound up the meeting.
