He said Germany will not interfere between Russia and Turkey, but is willing to mediate. Tho President of the Austrian Council of Ministers said that Austria , reserved the interests of the monarchy, and objects to shifting the balance of power. : Cardinal Picci has been elected Pope by the Conclave of Cardinals. A paper presented to Parliament shows that Schouvaloff informed Derby in June of the terms on which the Czar would conclude peace, and that they are identical with Russia’s present demands. The insurgents in Thessaly have beaten the Turks; 600 killed. The Channal fleet has been ordered to Gallipoli. A new Channel fleet is forming. 209,000 bales of wool have arrived in time for the sales. Melbourne, Thursday.
